Connecting a PS3 to a Monitor

I understand that I need to purchase a HDMI to DVI cable, but what about sound? I have High quality computer speakers that I want to use with it. Do I just get the Red and White RCA cable to headphone jack converter?

I can have the audio/video signals run through different cables right?
